Ramone says Farewell to BRITE CO

Dearest BRITE Collaborative Community:

To the most inspiring, unforgettable, and restorative community I have ever had the pleasure of being a part of, I bid thee a heavy, heartfelt farewell. My time with BRITE CO as Deputy Director will end on Friday, November 15, 2024.

Serving the Longmont and Boulder County Communities has been a fantastic opportunity that has allowed me to grow as a restorative practitioner and a person. I am proud of my strides and the person I have become during my time with BRITE CO. The unwavering support and opportunities provided by every team member throughout my time at BRITE CO have been instrumental in my success. I am deeply grateful for this support.

This age-old work of restoration is near and dear to my heart. It guides me in all my relationships and all the spaces I might find myself in. Working with volunteers, law enforcement, educators, residents, and all those folks in between further reinforces my love and passion for this work I will continue to be a part of. My commitment to restorative practices is unwavering, and I hope it inspires you to continue this critical work. BRITE CO has given me great insight into how a community-based organization can leverage wisdom, compassion, and community to transform how we address harm. BRITE CO will continue to be the backbone of modeling what our community could look like when transforming conflict and our approach to harm for all community members.

Every challenge and every conflict is an opportunity to learn together, grow together, and dismantle together for the benefit of all community members. BRITE CO has been a leader in this work for 30 years, and I’m proud to be a part of such a profound community and legacy. I can't wait to see what BRITE CO becomes and achieves over the next 30 years. I am confident that with your continued dedication and community support BRITE CO will reach even greater heights.

With a mix of love and heartbreak, I say farewell. Farewell to fantastic team members, a dedicated board of directors, a committed group of volunteers, a supportive and brave executive director, and the community that trusted me with this work. The memories we've shared and the work we've done together will always hold a special place in my heart.

With much appreciation, love, and respect, farewell friends.
